It has been way too long!

Again I have been slacking on my blogging. Mother's day seemed to come faster than I expected. I made my gifts this year for my Mom and MIL. They both loved them so I was super happy with that. I made them a wallet album to keep in their purse with pictures of our kids. They always say how they don't have pictures to show people when they are out places so I figured what a perfect gift it would be. I also made their cards.

I will post pictures later on as DH has my laptop tonight with all of my photos. I can't wait to show everyone! Until then I hope you are having a scrapping good time!

Have you ever done this?

So I packed up my stuff to go to a crop last night. I am trying to think of all the things I need to take to complete what I want to and I look it all over and think to myself...yes I have everything I need. I am in the car halfway to my destination to realize I don't have photos! So this obviously is a problem. LOL The funny part is I just finished reading an article in Scrapbook etc on what to remember to bring to a crop and photos was on the top of the list (and they made a joke that people do forget that)

I guess it was a good thing I wasn't planning on doing any layouts but my gifts for my mom and MIL. Now the gifts do include pictures but at least i can add those in afterwards. Once the gifts are done I will post a picture but it might not be for another couple of days.

So have you ever done something like this?

My favourite photos

I borrowed this idea from a wonderful lady. Go here to see her post

These are 2 of my favourite photos right now. I did some playing around last night in Paint shop Pro and tried to do some editing of them both. Nothing fancy as I am still trying to learn how to use this software. Photo editing is not my forte but I figured I would give it a try and see what I could come up with. The first one all I did was crop it and put a border on. I didn't think it needed much else. The second one I changed to black and white and attempted adding a watermark to the bottom.
This picture was taken at a family Christmas. My Dad was outside playing with the kids and stopped to talk to my son.

This picture was taken in the Fall of 2008 while we were out apple picking with the kids.

The nice weather is here!

And hopefully it will stick around. The past 2 days have been wonderful here. Today I spent the entire morning (minus snack time) outside with my son and daycare girl. We went for 2 nice walks and played in the backyard. The lid came off the sandbox and they had a blast. I wish I had thought to bring my camera with me but I was so stoked to get outside for the morning that all I could think about was do they have sunscreen on and hats on their heads. Tomorrow is supposed to be just as nice. Once we get back from the gym for our workouts we are going to be outdoors for sure. I even plan on eating lunch and maybe even dinner outside.

I hope everyone enjoys the sun!!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone! We had a great one. Good Friday we had dinner at my parents and then Saturday we had dinner at my BIL's. The kids had so much fun decorating eggs, having egg hunts and playing with their cousins. I wanted to share a few photos from the weekend.

I've been playing catch-up

Over at A Pile of Scrap we had a catch up weekend on all challenges we have yet to do. I managed to get 3 done. I was pretty proud of myself for getting that many done in what managed to be a busy weekend.

All of the sketches are from the talented Cori-lyn (one of the DT members for A Pile of Scrap). If you haven't checked out the website head on over right now!

It has been a while....

I have been a bad blogger. It has been a while since my last post. We had the round of illnesses here....colds, ear infections, and fifth disease. I am crossing my fingers that we are done and that Spring is here to stay!

Here are a few layouts that I have done in the past couple of weeks. I participated in an online crop over at A pile of scrap and these are from the challenges that they had.

1. Based on this sketch

2. Based on this sketch

3. Scraplifted from here

4. Scraplifted from here

Also a couple of weeks ago at a crop I was able to get this double page layout done.
