Finally I think that creative block is gone!

I went to a crop on Friday night at my LSS and I think I may have my creative juices flowing again. I can't show you all of the stuff I did but I can show you one layout. I used Icecheeks SOTW and I really love how it turned out. Sorry about the photo though I couldn't seem to get a good one that shows the colours right.

Stay tuned on Monday for my colour challenge. I am excited to show off my layout.

Could my mojo be lost??

It seems lately I just don't have that scrapbooking mojo. I seem to be in more of a cleaning my house mood than in a scrapping mood. So I have decided that this weekend I need to sit down and take some time for myself. I am hoping to get several layouts done and a few cards. I have recently purchased some stampin up sets and I am itching to use them. So all I need to do is buy a few ink pads and hopefully I will be making some beautiful cards.

So stay tuned and I hope to be posting some new layouts.

July Crop circle!

This month I have the privilege to host the crop circle over at APOS. I hope the girls like what I have come up with. I had fun doing my layout. I found the sketch over on the 52 sketches...52 weeks site.

So here are my challenges

1. Use your scraps (any patterned paper you use should be your scraps)
2. Have at least 3 circles in your layout
3. Use photo corners (of any kind) be creative if you don't have photo corners use something like buttons
4. One word title
5. Use journaling strips or a journaling block

And here is my layout

July Design Team Reveal - APOS

Well it's time for the July reveal! This month I was able to play with the beautiful Wisteria line from Basic Grey. I was also given the Crafters workshop peony template, stickles, riff raff (which I now love!) and some bling! At first I was stuck on what I was going to do with the paper but once the ideas started coming they kept on flowing.

Don't forget to hop on over to the other DT members blogs to see what they did for this months reveal. Valerie, Cheryl and Candace also had the Wisteria line to work with. Jerusha, Cori-lyn, and Vicki were given the Early bird line by Cosmo Cricket.

So without further ado here are my layouts, 1 project and cards.
First the 3 cards I made with the scraps I had left over. I used my cuttlebug to add some texture.

Here is a mini lunch tin that I had laying around. I have decided to use it as my mojo tin. I am going to fill it with pieces of paper that have ideas written on them to get my creative juices flowing when I am running low on them.
For this layout I used my cricut to cut the flowers, added the Basic Grey bling that came in my kit and used my cricut to cut the title.
For this layout I used the crafters workshop template and chalk to add to my cardstock background. The flourish is made with stickles.
For this layout I cut out the flower from one of the papers and stickled the edge. I adheared it with pop dots. I also used Riff raff for the title and added glossy accents to it.
For my last layout I used the gorgeous dragonfly paper. I cut out 2 of the dragon flies and then attached the second with pop dots and bent the wings a bit to make it 3D

APOS Challenges

I was finally able to sit down and do a few of the challenges from the design team over at APOS. There are still several I want to get done and hope to do some of them this coming weekend. I am absolutely amazed by the talent over there and each week I can't wait for Thursday to come to find out what the challenges are.
The first challenge I did was Candace's . Very different for me. I don't have a lot of stamps and rarely use them. I loved this challenge and can't wait to go buy more stamps. Check out the other layouts and cards that the ladies did. They are fantastic!

The second challenge I completed was Cheryl's. This one was very different for me. I rarely do stitching and never on a card. I loved how this turned out!

Well that is all for now. Happy Scrapping!
