August DT Reveal!

It's that time again. Reveal time! This month I was given the Lillian collection by Crate Paper, along with the rubons and then some Basic Grey chipboard stickers. I absolutely loved this line. I had so much fun with it! I was able to get 3 layouts done (one being a double layout) and 1 card.

I was able to use my scraps on this card. I still have a few scraps left so I am going to hopefully get one more card done.

I loved how this one turned out. To conserve my paper I cut out the center of the background paper so I could it on other layouts. These pictures were taken 2 years ago on our first family trip to Niagara Falls, Ontario.

The pictures were taken 2 years ago when we took the kids to our local park to feed the ducks. They had so much fun. I absolutely love how this layout turned out.

I made the flower embellishments for this one. I wanted to keep it simple to show off the pictures. We took this at the Butterfly conservatory in Niagara Falls, Ontario this summer when we went for a visit.

Don't forget to check out the other design team reveals. Valerie did an amazing job, As always Cheryl did some great stitching on hers, Candace did a lovely job showing off her line, Vicki did a wonderful job, and I love what Cori-lyn did with embellishments.

It's challenge day!!!

The 3 challenges have been posted over at APOS. There is a colour challenge, card challenge and an All about me challenge. Vicki and Candace did an awesome job with their challenges.

First off my colour challenge. I wanted to stick to the basics. I realized I don't scrap much in the primary colours. I am usually using more toned down light colours and don't really scrap with fun vibrant colours. So for the colour challenge this week I asked everyone to create a layout with the primary colours. (of course you can add in other colours if you like). I had such a great time doing this layout of my sons 1st birthday. Hard to believe that was almost 2 years ago. He will be turning 3 in September. I realized I really must finish his first year album. So after finding the perfect paper for my layout and using a sketch from the pagemaps site I came up with this. To see a close up picture of each page go check out my post.

Don't forget to check out Vicki's All about Me challenge and Candace's Card challenge. They both did an amazing job.

Finally I think that creative block is gone!

I went to a crop on Friday night at my LSS and I think I may have my creative juices flowing again. I can't show you all of the stuff I did but I can show you one layout. I used Icecheeks SOTW and I really love how it turned out. Sorry about the photo though I couldn't seem to get a good one that shows the colours right.

Stay tuned on Monday for my colour challenge. I am excited to show off my layout.

Could my mojo be lost??

It seems lately I just don't have that scrapbooking mojo. I seem to be in more of a cleaning my house mood than in a scrapping mood. So I have decided that this weekend I need to sit down and take some time for myself. I am hoping to get several layouts done and a few cards. I have recently purchased some stampin up sets and I am itching to use them. So all I need to do is buy a few ink pads and hopefully I will be making some beautiful cards.

So stay tuned and I hope to be posting some new layouts.
